Cows
Think Green Ranch is home to a variety of cattle. Our cows are well-cared for and play an important role in our farm. Think Green Ranch strives to provide the best possible environment for our cows and we believe that happy cows lead to healthy cows, which in turn produce great beef.
The cows are never given hormones or antibiotics because we also believe that they should be able to live stress-free lives in order to become the best steak and meat products for our customers.
If you are interested in locally grown, grain finished beef, give Dawn a call at 541-292-3695.
Cows
Angus cows gained popularity as popular breed of beef cattle due to their exceptional meat quality and flavor. They are known for their high-quality beef, and are prized by chefs and consumers alike. Our cows live on a small farm, where they are able to graze freely and have plenty of space to roam.
When our Angus cows give birth to calves, we raise them on the farm and make sure they live stress-free as much as possible to ensure quality beef. Because Angus cows are raised in such humane conditions, their beef is often considered to be some of the best-tasting and most wholesome beef available.
Bessie
Bessie is a large black Angus cow that was originally named Molly and purchased from Bill and Nalani. Bessie is a gentle cow and currently has a very cute all black calf. We haven’t picked a name for Bessie’s calf yet, but we’re sure it will be just as sweet as Bessie herself. Cows like Bessie are essential to the beef industry, and we’re proud to have her on our farm. We know that she’ll continue to provide us with high-quality beef for years to come. Thanks, Bessie!

Panda
-
Our beloved Panda originally came from Bill and Nalani as well and was initially named “Dolly.”
However, we just can’t help but notice the adorable resemblance to the namesake, hence we decide to name her “Panda” instead!Panda is now happily grazing at our pastures living a luxurious life as we make sure she keep producing more exceptional calf as well.
Also had a mini-Panda looking calf male calf

Little
-
Our lovely “Little” was sired by our cow named “How Now Brown Cow” (originally named “Ruby”) which was one of our first cows to live and graze in the ranch. Little enjoys the lazy afternoon sunsets after a day’s hearty graze and leisurely walks.
She’s also quite the protective and caring mother just like her mom and would rush head-first to the rescue of anything that makes a moo sound!
Had Mooana, currently our whitest heifer calf
Born: 1/6/2022.
Gabby
Gabby, light-brown cow is also one of our recently additions to the ranch and she also recently produced a calf that eventually turned to a beautiful creamy white as it grew older, from what initially was just grey, just like an ugly duckling growing to a very beautiful swan!
And just like Little, she also enjoys watching the sunset and day end after a day full of contentment and relaxing stroll with her buddy Little. They go along well as if they’re always talking about how nice life in the ranch is, just like mothers talking about their children!
- Had the grey calf before which eventually grew up to a beautiful white over time
