Random Flying Animals

Random Flying Animals

Think Green Ranch is home to a variety of Ducks and Geese. Our Ducks and Geese are well-cared for and play an important role in our farm. Think Green Ranch strives to provide the best possible environment for our ducks and geese. They are never given hormones or antibiotics. The ducks and geese at Think Green Ranch have plenty of space to roam and explore. They also have access to fresh water and a nutritious diet. In addition, we make sure to provide enrichment activities for our ducks and geese, such as hiding food in their enclosure. We believe that all animals deserve to be treated with respect, and we are committed to providing the best possible care for our ducks and geese

Ducks

  • There are lots of ducks in March and April. They mostly fly away as summer approaches. Some stick around, but nothing like the numbers in March.

Geese

  • Geese are messy and they lay eggs in the weirdest places. Still trying to decide if they are laying eggs in the middle of the field or if there is a racoon that is packing them around.
  • Mating season is early April, so they are really quite loud right now. They fight over mates and over nesting locations. When the pond was full the prime spot was apparently the little islands. However, this year with little water, they don’t seem to care about that location near as much.
